Got Curls?
Tips for Curly Hair
Curly hair needs to be treated a bit differently than straight. It needs more moisture to help keeping curls looking their best and reduce frizz.
Here are some tips to help keep your curls looking and feeling their best:
Skip the terrycloth towel. Using a cotton t-shirt to gently “scrunch” hair to remove excess water can help to reduce frizz
Use a wide toothed comb to detangle hair after washing ( keep one in the shower to gently detangle while you have conditioner in your hair)
For curls: it's actually better to apply product to very saturated hair and "squish" in, this allows for better curl formations. Do not rub wet curls.
Use a satin pillowcase or headscarf when sleeping. This helps to keep curls intact
Going to the beach? Apply a leave in conditioner before you go to help hydrate and protect from the sun, wind, and salt water
Use a humidity controlling hairspray or texture spray
Curls can be irresistible but the more you touch them the more frizz will happen
Don’t skip haircuts. Keep the ends trimmed to avoid dryness
