Does your hair Lack Volume?
Sometimes hair can feel flat and just needs a bit of help to get “lift” and added volume
Here are some things that may help:
Use a Volumizing, Daily, or clarifying shampoo. All of these help in varying ways but all have the tendency to remove buildup and allow the hair more lift. (**note** do not use clarifying shampoo multiple times in a week, this can be VERY drying to the hair.. chat with me about recommended usage)
Avoid conditioner at the roots on a daily basis. This isn't something that I would always prefer you to do all the time because conditioner (especially deep conditioner) can help hydrate the scalp which can reduce dry scalp and flakes.
Apply Volumizing Foam at the roots before your blow dry. This helps to give the hair structure and lift. You can air dry as well but blow drying helps to direct air flow allowing you to create more or less volume as needed.
Tilt forward (head downward facing) and blow dry the roots of your hair. With the help of volumizing foam this can give you some nice volume.
If you have a set part, blow dry the hair to the opposite side of your parting. When you flip it back to the way you prefer it to lay, you will have more lift.
Velco rollers can be used to give some lift at the base of your hair.
Dry shampoo can also be used to add a little volume
